The 2018 Families Learning Conference comes to a close with Clarence H. Carter, director of the Office of Family Assistance at HHS’ Administration for Children and Families, who will share insights from his career of service to our most socially and economically vulnerable citizens. The Keynote address by Tom Vander Ark, author and CEO of Getting Smart, will provide a thought-provoking message about how artificial intelligence is influencing family literacy. And plan to be inspired by student speaker, LeDelvin Walker, who will share how family literacy has impacted her family and community. The brunch concludes with a special announcement for 2019. Following the Closing Brunch will be a book signing by Mr. Vander Ark in the Grand Ballroom Foyer. Books will be available for purchase onsite.
Purchased Closing Brunch tickets are to be picked up from the conference registration desk during conference hours and no later than Wednesday, September 26 at 11:00AM.
