Adapting Family Literacy and Adult Education’s Partnership to Meet the Needs of Families and Programs
The Adult Education program in Louisville, KY, has a long history of providing Family Literacy programming to Adult Learners. In recent years due to changes in funding and shifting program priorities, it has been a challenge to offer Family Literacy programming throughout Louisville that has consistent participation. Yet, the importance and impact of Family Literacy programming remains the same: when families learn together, they grow together. During this session presenters will share their experience in adapting their traditional Family Literacy model to meet the needs of participants while surviving shifts in funding and priorities.
