Presenters will describe the Parent Leadership Partner (PLP) Program developed and implemented through the Carolina Family Engagement Center (CFEC) at the University of South Carolina. PLP strengthens families’ abilities for greater leadership roles in their children’s education. The program, successfully piloted, has a workbook as a guide and includes a Train-the-Trainer component that prepares facilitators to work with PLP groups sponsored by schools, districts, and community organizations.
