In Osceola County, Florida, in partnership with the Central Florida Urban League, the Adult Learning Center of Osceola created an industry-based family literacy project. The parents, mostly ESL students, earned Microsoft Certifications and Entrepreneurship / Small Business credentials while their children were engaged in STEM and writing activities. It was instrumental in encouraging the parents to focus on their goals with over 80% of the parents earning their industry credentials.
