Authentic family engagement requires more than inviting families to events; it demands building systems of fairness, belonging, and shared power. From Barriers to Bridges will explore how centering families’ lived experiences and strengths creates inclusive environments where all families feel valued, particularly those historically marginalized by systemic inequities. Participants will examine barriers to participation, including language differences, historical mistrust, accessibility challenges, and cultural disconnects, and learn asset-based strategies to transform these barriers into bridges for engagement.
