HOME WORKS! The Teacher Home Visit Program

Anna has 20 years of experience in education. She served as a high school instructor of English for nine years and received the St. Louis Public Schools 2012 Center for the Humanities Middle and High School Communication Arts Teacher of the Year Award. She then worked as a manager of an educational non-profit, creator/director of a writing mentoring program at University of Missouri–St. Louis, guest speaker on urban education and adjunct faculty member in the education department at Washington University in St. Louis. She taught both undergraduate and graduate students about the teaching and learning process in secondary schools and served as a student teacher supervisor.

Anna has most recently partnered with the Wentzville, St. Louis, Jennings and Confluence Academies school districts in her role as a HOME WORKS! Program Leader over the past seven years. In this role, she has trained teachers in the area of parent and family engagement and coached them to implement home visits, family dinners and parent-teacher workshops within their school communities. She has a BA from Oberlin College and a MAED from Washington University in St. Louis.
