Dr. Christine Niven is the Director of Adult Education and Family Literacy Programs at Mesa Unified School District, where she leverages over 35 years of experience to lead programs in family literacy, GED, ESL, and workforce preparation for adults. With a deeply held belief that education is the catalyst for opportunity and community empowerment, Dr. Niven focuses on creating positive, sustainable impact for the communities she serves.
She is experienced in the challenge of sustaining long-term, grant-funded initiatives. Her professional mission is to reduce duplication of services and build robust partnerships that create clear, streamlined connections between adults and their community. Prior to her current work, Dr. Niven was a teacher, trainer, and program administrator overseas.
She holds a Doctorate (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership and Supervision from Arizona State University, with specialized research on Latino parent involvement in public schools.
