Kay has been a family literacy cheerleader for over 40 years. She began her journey as a Parent Involvement Coordinator for Head Start in eleven centers and seven counties in Eastern Kentucky. She continued her journey as an instructor, assistant director, and director of adult education. She has worked for over fifteen years in higher education having been a director of admissions and now an adjunct professor. Kay continues to partner with the community to meet the needs and goals of the families in her role at Thorn Hill Education center in Frankfort, Kentucky.
