Betsy is an Adult Education Program Specialist with the Maryland Department of Labor. She provides technical assistance and professional development to Title II adult education providers throughout Maryland. Betsy oversees family literacy by leading a quarterly community of practice, doing site visits, and providing technical assistance. Betsy has over 20 years of teaching experience with multilingual learners overseas, at the high school level, and in adult education. Betsy is also an adjunct instructor at Frederick Community College. Betsy holds an M.Ed. ESOL and is currently interested in the subject of translanguaging in adult education spaces.
