Deputy Director, Programs, Public Library Association
Mary Hirsh has been with the Public Library Association since 2007, in a series of increasingly responsible roles. Currently, she is Deputy Director of Programs, responsible for aligning program design and implementation to strategic plan goals. In her time at PLA, Mary has work on a variety of continuing education and special projects, including Turning the Page, Project Outcome, PLA’s Leadership Academy, and the Inclusive Internship Initiative and currently manages PLA’s DigitalLearn.org and Family Engagement work. She works closely with partners and funders to bring maximum value to PLA programs. Educational background includes, BA in History and Art History, Indiana University and an MA in Arts Administration, School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
