Dr. Sophia Seide is an accomplished educational leader with over 27 years of experience in curriculum development, instructional leadership, and multilingual education. Currently serving as the District ESOL Coordinator for Newton County Schools, Dr. Seide brings advanced expertise in supporting diverse student populations, advancing educational equity, and building sustainable multilingual learner programs at scale.

Holding a Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership from Argosy University and an Education Specialist credential from Nova Southeastern University, Dr. Seide has demonstrated her commitment to educational excellence through progressive leadership roles. In her previous position as Curriculum & Instructional Specialist with Newton County School System (2019–2024), she led transformative initiatives to enhance K-12 social studies and World Languages curriculum, integrated educational technology, and delivered targeted professional development that significantly improved instructional quality and student achievement. Her work involved strategic evaluation of student and educator performance, comprehensive curriculum development, and implementation of data-driven strategies that measurably enhanced student outcomes.

Dr. Seide’s deep commitment to multilingual learners stems from direct experience as an ESOL Instructor at Liberty Middle School and Clements Middle School, where she designed customized instructional strategies, managed individualized education plans, and collaborated with school professionals to support comprehensive language acquisition and academic development. This foundational expertise informs her current district-level work.

Beyond K-12 leadership, Dr. Seide serves as an Adjunct Adult Education Instructor at Georgia Piedmont Technical College (2016–Present), designing and implementing curricula for GED programs with a focus on adapting instruction to meet diverse adult learner needs. Her additional experience as an Interim Assistant Principal and Site Coordinator has strengthened her abilities in data analysis, strategic resource allocation, program management, and school improvement initiatives.
