Lakeysha London is a proud native of New Orleans and a dedicated educator who has spent 27 years serving students and families in her hometown. A product of Orleans Parish Public Schools, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Education from Southern University at New Orleans and a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Xavier University of Louisiana. She has also completed fellowships at Tulane University and with the John Maxwell Leadership Distinguished Team for public speaking, strengthening her expertise in leadership and professional learning. 

Lakeysha began her career as a high school English teacher before transitioning into school leadership, where she served as a principal for over 20 years. She led the first community-based school in New Orleans, which received multiple awards and accolades for its impactful work with students, families, and the broader community. 

Currently, Lakeysha specializes in designing research-based family engagement strategies and developing educational content that supports schools and families in improving student outcomes. Her work includes hosting webinars, facilitating professional development, and presenting at local and national conferences. She is passionate about equipping educators with practical tools, frameworks, and strategies that strengthen partnerships between schools and families. 

Lakeysha is committed to helping educators move beyond traditional involvement to meaningful engagement that drives student success. She is honored to share her experiences and actionable insights with fellow educators dedicated to making a lasting impact.
