Bush and First Lady Barbara Bush—service, education, and civic engagement. She oversees the Foundation’s support of the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library & Museum, the Bush School of Government & Public Service, and the Barbara Bush Fund for Family Literacy, while fostering partnerships and initiatives that inspire public service, strengthen civic engagement, and expand educational opportunity.

Drawing on leadership experience spanning the nonprofit, higher education, public, and military communities, Yates has held leadership positions across the United States and in Germany. Throughout her career, she has built collaborative partnerships, advanced philanthropic initiatives, and championed programs that prepare future generations for lives of service and leadership.

Before joining the Foundation, Yates led strategic initiatives for the Bush School in Washington, D.C., where she advanced donor engagement, expanded student opportunities, and strengthened the school’s national reach through philanthropy and cross-sector collaboration. Her longstanding commitment to supporting military families was recognized by the State of Texas with the Yellow Rose of Texas award.
