Partnerships between schools, communities, and families are essential for improving child outcomes. In this session, we explore the intersections of family engagement and outdoor play through structured playgroups. NCFL playgroups are multigenerational, involving parenting adults and their children in playful learning. Participants will learn the benefits of outdoor play for young children and how to communicate its importance to families.  Then, we will experience hands-on guided play activities outdoors that participants can use to engage the whole family.
