Adult education programs increasingly serve learners with LD (Difference, Difficulties, Disabilities), yet many instructors and systems lack the training, tools, and supports needed to fully meet their needs. This session will explore effective, evidence-informed approaches for serving adult learners with LD in literacy and family-centered education settings. Participants will examine how LD may present in adult learners, how to create more accessible and inclusive instructional environments, and how to strengthen learner persistence and achievement through targeted strategies. The session will also highlight the intersection of adult education and family literacy, emphasizing how supporting adults with LD has ripple effects for children, families, and communities.
