Hasan Davis, J.D., is an author, educator, nationally recognized youth advocate, and former Commissioner of the Kentucky Department of Juvenile Justice. His journey from childhood arrest, school expulsion, and a GED to earning college and law degrees has shaped more than three decades of work with young people, families, educators, justice professionals, and community leaders.

As founder of Hope Worx, Hasan helps people and organizations create the conditions young people need to imagine and pursue believable futures. His approach combines lived experience, systems leadership, storytelling, and practical tools grounded in humanity, dignity, belonging, and mattering. His H.O.P.E. Framework invites adults to practice Humanity, Optimism, Perspective, and Empathy while moving hope from a feeling to a daily discipline.

Hasan is the author of Written Off, The Journey of York, Human Writes, and The Race. Across classrooms, courtrooms, community spaces, and national conferences, he challenges adults to recognize the powerful role families and caring professionals play in helping young people see their strengths, expand their possibilities, and become the authors of their own futures.
