Karrie Roy joined the Literacy Center of West Michigan in August 2023 and currently serves as the Family Literacy Program Director. She is responsible for over 20 classes that run throughout the school year across 5 districts and well as leading the Health Literacy Initiative with medical partners throughout the city. She previously worked as a Refugee Community Liaison at Grand Rapids Public Schools where she helped newcomer families connect to vital resources in the community. She earned her B.A from Indiana University in Spanish and Political Science.
