Pamela Cote is the Managing Director of the Barbara Bush Fund for Family Literacy, which provides direct support through grants to family literacy programs across the country – advancing Mrs. Bush’s vision of a more literate America. In addition to leading the strategic oversight and engagement of the Barbara Bush Fund, she serves as a field partner and thought leader, cultivating partnerships and collaborations to elevate family literacy at state and national levels.

Previously, Pam held the role of Senior Director of Literacy Programs and Partnerships at the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy. In this role, she led innovative projects and initiatives designed to bolster and amplify the Foundation’s reach and engagement in adult and family literacy. A former educator, her classroom experience spans elementary through adult education, and she led one of the top Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy Lighthouse programs in Maine. Pam believes that family literacy has the power to transform generations, and she is honored to carry forward Mrs. Bush’s belief that literacy is the key to opportunity for every family.
