Ruth Sugar

Ruth Sugar is a training specialist and technical assistant in the Family and Child Education (FACE) program at the National Center for Families Learning. In this role, she supports teachers and administrators who are serving Native American families living on rural reservations throughout the United States. Over her 30-year career in adult education, Ruth has taught ABE and ESL, managed literacy programming, conducted qualitative research, designed and delivered professional development training, and provided technical support to practitioners. She is experienced in instructional design and eLearning. Ruth holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Clark University, a Master of Education in Adult and Continuing Education from Rutgers University, and a Master of Public Administration from American University.
