Mr. Wilbert Nez is member of the Navajo Nation. His Navajo traditional clanships are his mother- Kinyaa’aanii (Tower House), father- Tl’ogi (Weaver/Zia Pueblo), maternal grandfather- Kinlichii’nii (Red House), and paternal grandfather- To’aheedliinii (Water Flows Together). Mr. Nez earned his Master in Secondary Education from Northern Arizona University. He earned certificates including the Navajo Language and Culture Teaching and New Mexico Athletic Association Coaching.
