Project-based learning (PBL) is a teaching model that engages adult learners in contextualized and meaningful learning experiences. Session participants will be introduced to the components of this framework and learn about a PBL project that Judy Basham, the adult education teacher at the Ramah Navajo Family and Child Education (FACE) program, undertook with her students to plan and hold a community resource fair. She will share their process, outcomes, and lessons learned to illustrate the value of the model.
