For United Way employees, we have some good news! The all-virtual 2021 Families Learning Conference has been approved by United Way Worldwide for flexible credit use.** This means that Canada- and U.S.-based United Ways which are in full compliance with membership requirements and current on dues payments, may receive reimbursements from their flexible credits. Each participant can use flex credits for up to $595 toward participant registration. Click here to secure your spot at the Conference!

Why attend the Families Learning Conference?

Learning content to fit your needs – Focus your learning by following one of six content strands: Adult Education; Early Childhood Education; Family and Community Leadership; K-12 Education, Library, and Research and Policy. Additionally, those new to the field as well as seasoned professionals will be able to identify presentations appropriate for their levels of experience and subject knowledge. Look for the content level and strand specified for each session.

On-demand access – Now you don’t have to choose which presentations to attend—or miss! Registrants will have access to all presentations for 90 days after the conference dates.

Opportunities to network with your peers – Networking looks a bit different in the virtual space, but we’ve got you covered! Our virtual platform features a chat capability within sessions and a forum for topic discussions; plus we’re utilizing Flipgrid for video networking. In the exhibit hall, attendees have the opportunity to chat face-to-face with exhibitor representatives.

Directions for reimbursements

Each participant seeking reimbursement should complete the digital reimbursement form link by November 24, 2021. Once this deadline has passed, no further reimbursement requests can be accepted. A processing fee of $35 will be applied to each flex credit application.

Please note that it is the responsibility of each attendee to obtain internal approval to use flexible credits. They may check with their supervisor or flex credit manager before submitting any reimbursement requests. For more information, click to access account balance or view the flexible credit policy. If you have a question at any time, please contact Ask United Way (United Way Online access required).
