Learn about family literacy programming as practiced around the world. Drawing on a new, open-source book, Family and Intergenerational Literacy and Learning: International Perspectives, the session will describe and share research on four family literacy programs: an early literacy program for Argentine families in extreme poverty, the use of digital technologies to support families during COVID-19 in the Caribbean, an intergenerational family literacy program for mothers in Egypt, and the Liberian Family Literacy Initiative, which included HIPPY home visiting and an Adult Literacy Program.
