Participant, Ramah Navajo FACE
Kayleen Pino joined the Ramah Navajo FACE Program in Pine Hill, NM before her daughter was born. She was involved with the program throughout her prenatal period and enrolled her daughter in the home-based and center-based FACE program after she was born.
Kayleen is a full-time working mother in the IT & GIS field who enjoys being involved with her daughter’s education, growth, and development. She has participated in various FACE activities, including assisting with the creation of FACE program recruitment brochures with Navajo audio translations, available on the school website. Kayleen is also involved with the First One Hundred Institute and Unite for Literacy in promoting Navajo cultural and language preservation through books and reading. Kayleen loves to give back to her community by teaching free beading classes for FACE participants and through behavioral health women’s groups and higher education programs. She also greatly enjoys being a part of her daughter’s educational journey and success.
